Traditions

Land Forces Training Centre has been formed as a result of restructuring Poland’s Armed Forces on 1st October 2002 and disbanding Stefan Czarniecki Officer School.
According to the Ministry of Defence 95/MON Decision from 10 April 2003 concerning the continuation of cultural heritage, naming the patron and establishing the annual Land Forces Training Centre Day, the Centre follows the tradition of armoured forces training centres, logistics services and Military Police since the beginning of II Rzeczpospolita, in particular units stationing in the Poznań garrison and in the area of Wielkopolska.

Patron

The patron of Land Forces Training Centre is Field Hetman of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom Stefan Czarniecki (Łodzia).

Symbols

On the basis of the Ministry of Defence 297/MON Decision from 4 November 2003 concerning the introduction of the commemorative badge, the graduates’ badge, the identification badge and the beret pennant of Stefan Czarniecki Land Forces Training Centre in Poznań, the identification badge and the pennant for the Centre soldiers were introduced in 2004. The right to wear the Badge was conferred by the Commemorative Badge Commission on 1st October 2004.
